IF – The Zoo
Here is my zoo…
I love to draw animals… fits in with my role as a biology teacher & nature lover.
The style here is quite different to the more naive children’s art I’ve used in some of the other IF themes…
This elephant babe is Kimba Malu, inspired by an infant elephant who went to school in Africa with a friend of mine to help teach African children about the preciousness of their own wildlife.
I drew Mrs. Hippo a couple of years ago, just after she had Tulip at Werribee Open Range Zoo.
Kimba Malu, Mrs. Hippo and Pyjama Boy, the zebra below are all in pen and ink.
Orang-utan babe is in graphite pencil.
I love this theme!

I love your orang-utan, so defenseless … so much melancholy in its eyes.
